ABSTRACT

OLGA and TACITE are two of the few multiphase flow simulators based on mechanistic approach. The performances of OLGA against complex transient cases registered on pipelines operated by TOTAL in Indonesia are presented in this paper as well as OLGA performances against more classic steady state flows. The performances of TACITE against the same steady state flows are given too. Prior to showing the performances of both simulators, the main features of OLGA and TACITE are described as well as the pipeline data used to assess the two simulators.
