Abstract
When solving the problem of motion of a submarine vessel (SV) near the ice surface the hull of a submarine, having a complex geometry, is usually replaced by the body rotation of a simplified form while preserving its main characteristics (elongation and displacement). In its turn, the presence of protruding parts, as well as the form of the cross section of the hull can have a significant influence on the parameters of flexural gravity waves generated by submarine vessel motion. This paper presents the experimental research of influence of a form of contours, the form of cross section and the presence of protruding parts on the deflection and the length of flexural-gravity waves (FGW).
