The paper establishes the lumped parameter vibration mathematical model of shafting and uses the system matrix method to calculate and analyze steady-state frequency domain vibration characteristics of the shaft system in the range of diesel engine speed. Then in order to further study the transient torsional vibration of the shaft system under the resonance speed point, the state space method and finite element analysis method were used to compare and analyze the transient time domain response characteristic curve of the shaft system; finally, the test data of the real ship was compared with the theoretical calculation results, which verified the correctness of the mathematical model and the theoretical calculation method. This study has certain theoretical significance for carrying out the design of low-noise and vibration of shaft systems and improving the safety of ship navigation.
