The brownfields offshore Brazil comprise over 11,000 km of subsea pipelines and risers, 700 subsea Christmas-Trees and 60 manifolds, all interconnected with more than 50 platforms. These fields offer promising investment opportunities due to enhanced reservoir knowledge and the utilization of existing production infrastructure.

This paper presents a selection of subsea innovations and technologies developed to overcome the challenges associated with the revitalization, infill and subsea tieback projects of Marlim, Voador, Marlim Sul, Marlim Leste, Jubarte, Albacora, Barracuda/Caratinga, Roncador, Tartaruga Verde, and Espadarte brownfields.

A brief description of the subsea systems of the above-mentioned projects is also presented, as well as the main challenges associated with each one.
