As the main sedimentary environments of Neogene in Bohai Bay, fluvial facies and shallow delta facies reservoirs develop widely with the phenomena of reservoirs’ thickness changing rapidly and reservoirs overlapping on each other. In order to reduce exploration and development risk, reservoirs’ thickness and their overlapping relationships should be clearly identified, which put forward higher requirements for seismic data processing. So the broadband seismic data processing like deghost and demultiple processing is essential. However, the average depth of water in Bohai Bay is about 18m, which belongs to extremely shallow water environment. Normal broadband processing methods, which have been widely used in deep water do not have the preconditions for application. Therefore, to get more accurate seismic data, broadband processing technology applicable to the actual geological situation of Bohai Bay should be researched. In this paper, F-K domain deghost method based on L2 norm and an improved shallow water demultiple method are applied to seismic broadband processing in M oilfield of Bohai Bay. The successful applications indicate that those methods can effectively broaden frequency band and recover the real seismic response of the overlapping reservoirs in extremely shallow water environment of Bohai Bay.
