Imaging subsalt and pre-salt oil reservoirs requires seismic acquisition that could provide the azimuths and offsets necessary to illuminate under a complex overburden and to generate an accurate velocity model. Herein, we discuss an acquisition method that allows us to acquire wide-azimuth towed-streamer data simultaneously with sparse ocean-bottom node data. Both data sets can be used to derive a velocity model and to image reservoirs under a complex overburden.
