The paper porposed the Differential Horizontal Stress Ratio (DHSR) evaluate the stress property for tight gas reservoir using Poisson’s ratio and fracture density. First of all, seismic processing base on Offset Vector Tile (OVT) was executed. Then, we established a new rock physics model for tight gas reservoir by considering pore un-connectedness and reservoir anisotropy. Finally, the azimuthal AVO direct inversion was used to obtain the Poisson’s ratio and fracture density and the DHSR can estimated by above two parameters. The example data application revealed that the estimated DHSR fit with well log interpretation and stress property is agreed with the geomechanics result. The stress evaluation can provide reliable guidance for hydraulic fracturing and well track design.
