In 2018, Genel Energy conducted a 3D multi-azimuth towed-streamer seismic acquisition campaign over the Sidi Moussa license, offshore Morocco. Legacy single-azimuth 3D data acquired over the survey area was previously interpreted and was observed to not adequately image the complex deep targets. A decision was, therefore, made to acquire the survey with three distinct azimuths line headings of 142°, 322°, and 52° to fully illuminate the complex ridge structure. Herein, we detail the carefully constructed earth model building flow to fully leverage the advantages of multi-azimuth acquisition. This work ensured that the resultant velocity depth model was very detailed and leveraged all the information from the three azimuths. A final Q-Kirchhoff depth migration and reverse time migration products were performed to improve the imaging of the complex structures at depth, and so aid interpretation.
