Preliminary geological and geophysical surveys have found rich geothermal resources in northern Jinan. In this study, controlled source audio-frequency magnetotellurics method (CSAMT) and radon measurement technology are used to detect these resources. According to the distribution characteristics of apparent resistivity at different depths and the flat distribution map of radon content, the target area was predicted, and drilling is arranged for verification. The drilling shows that the predicted results agree with the actual buried depth and location of the reservoir. Effective implementation provides a geophysical basis for future geothermal drilling and development.
