After years of technology testing, in 2019, we conducted our first 4D DAS VSP designed mainly around business objectives. It was co-acquired with a high-resolution short streamer survey (P-cable) in a manner that allowed future synergetic repeats. The DAS VSP included time-lapse repeats in three wells and a baseline in another. 4D observations made from fast-track analysis in one well are impacting well operations, and more useful results are expected after completion of full processing and interpretation. We share some highlights from all stages of this DAS survey realization – from planning and acquisition to processing and interpretation.
