The Elgin Franklin and West Franklin fields are HP/HT fields located in the Central North Sea. These fields have undergone significant depletion. Each field shows a different 4D behaviour in the overburden although the reservoirs are very similar. Structural differences and the thickness of the underburden underlying the reservoirs are used to explain the observed variations in overburden 4D signal. This interpretation is further strengthened by geomechanical modelling. Consequently, the R-factor for each field is different.
