This paper demonstrates a case study of the superheated steam injection methodology studied and utilized in the North Кенкияк oil field. The methodology is studied from its mechanisms of enhanced oil recovery by approaches of reservoir engineering, in-house experiment and numerical simulation, which indicate that by injecting the superheated steam, the advantages of rock wettability conversion, more heat enthalpy, larger specific volume and latent heat of vaporization of superheated steam would result in the better production and economic performance. Pilot test wells reinforced the study and the field application is planed and optimized.
