Abstract
As operators around the world continue to explore coiled tubing drilling and completions, one of the main benefits this technology has demonstrated is the ability to drill through the formation in an underbalanced situation. The benefit is somewhat minimized, however, if the well has to be loaded with kill weight fluid prior to running the completion or perforating. This paper will discuss how this problem was solved for one North Sea operator and how that solution can be extended to other operators.
