ABSTRACT: In order to optimize the strategy of water injection before re-fracturing of Mahu glutenite reservoir in Junggar Basin, a series of numerical model are established by commercial reservoir simulation software based on field data. A production history match is completed, confirming the reliability of the model we established. The influence of factors such as cumulative water injection, water injection rate, soaking time and injection timing on oil production of parent well and infill well after restimulating is considered. The results show that injecting water has a positive effect on increasing production but injecting more water to the parent well can increase reservoir pressure and water saturation at the same time, and the parent well produce more liquid with higher water cut. The slow injecting rate and long soaking time can also increase oil production. For the parent well in this study, the earlier the injecting timing is, the more production are obtained.
