The  American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) serves as an advocate for firms and individuals who represent all aspects of rock mechanics and rock engineering. International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE)


The ISOPE (International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers) was founded in 1989 as a tax-exempt, non-profit scientific and educational organization under U.S. IRS Code 501(c)(3). Its members come from 50 countries.  ISOPE activities cover a transactions journal and other publications, technical conferences and symposia, student scholarship and professional recognition programs, continuing education and international cooperation. Membership is open equally to all those with an active interest in promoting engineering and scientific progress in interdisciplinary fields in the offshore, ocean, Arctic, Antarctic, marine, energy (hydrocarbon and renewable), mineral resources, materials, environment, and related applied research and engineering.  The ISOPE encourages cooperation among continents and represents diversity in technical and regional interests. International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC)


Founded in 2005, the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is the flagship multidisciplinary technical event in the Eastern Hemisphere. International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (ISRM)


The International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (ISRM) was founded in Salzburg in 1962 as a result of the enlargement of the "Salzburger Kreis". Its foundation is mainly owed to Prof. Leopold Müller who acted as President of the Society until September 1966. The field of Rock Mechanics is taken to include all studies relative to the physical and mechanical behavior of rocks and rock masses and the applications of this knowledge for the better understanding of geological processes and in the fields of Engineering. Oil Industry Journal (OIJ)


Oil Industry Journal (OIJ) is the oldest Russian scientific and technical publication in oil extraction and processing of oil.  The journal is published monthly and has been available since 1920. OIJ publishes articles written by Russian scientists and engineers under the following topics: geology and geological exploration, drilling, development and exploitation, engineering and technology of oil production, storage and transportation, oilfield engineering and construction, environmental safety and several others.   The Ministry of Education of Russia included the journal in the list of leading peer-reviewed journals and publications, in which basic scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate and doctor of sciences should be published. The Pipeline Simulation Interest Group (PSIG) is an independent, non-profit group administered by an executive council of Board of Directors, and operates in an unstructured, informal manner. Petroleum Society of Canada (PETSOC)


The Petroleum Society of Canada (PETSOC) was founded in 1949 as a division of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM) with a commitment to the technical advancement of its members and the petroleum industry through education, communication and the dissemination of technical data.  The division published its first edition of the Canadian Journal of Petroleum Technology (JCPT) in 1962.  This monthly journal delivered approximately 80 peer reviewed world class technical papers to almost 4000 members every year.  These papers were then deposited into the Society’s ‘Tech Bank’.  In addition to hosting the annual Canadian International Petroleum Conference (CIPC), the Society’s sections organized numerous technical conferences, meetings, and short courses across Canada and provided support to post-secondary students through its Educational Trust Fund. PETSOC dissolved its association with CIM in 2008 and merged with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in 2009, integrating programs and resources. The PETSOC legacy lives on through its papers and the $1 million dollar Trust Fund whose assets established the SPE Canadian Educational Foundation.

Society for Underwater Technology (SUT)


The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) was founded to promote the further understanding of the underwater environment and to encourage the cross-fertilization and dissemination of ideas, experience and information between workers in academic research, applied research and technology, industry and government. Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC)


The Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC) was first held in 2013.
